The 2017 Thanksgiving Day Road Race
How do I check to see if I’m registered?
Go here. This link is updated every weekday morning by 10:00 (eastern time).
What time does the race and walk start?
8:15 am, but you need to get there earlier. The later you arrive, the harder it is to find a parking spot.
Where can I park?
Parking is available at the Southport train station parking lots, the Pequot Library, and various retail lots on the Post Road.
Can I sign up someone other than myself?
Yes, but only immediate family members.
Are strollers, baby joggers or dogs permitted?
Strollers, baby joggers and dogs and not permitted in the 5 mile race. They are allowed in the 2.6 mile walk. Dogs must be leashed at all times.
Can I pick up someone else’s race number, shirt, etc.?
Yes, but be certain that those for whom you are picking up are aware of it.
Can I pick up my bib, shirt, etc. before race day?
Yes…we encourage you to pick up before race day…every evening starting on Tuesday, Nov. 21, at Wakeman Boys/Girls Club, 385 Center Street, Southport, between 7:00 pm and 9:00 pm.
Will my name appear in bold on my bib?
Yes, if you register before October 21.
If I become injured or sick and can’t run/walk, can I get a refund?
No, there are no refunds once you have entered.
Duplicate Registrations
In the event you have a duplicate registration (someone else registered you in addition to you) call Chronotrack customer service at 888-600-2298.
SECURITY We thank the town of Fairfield and specifically the Fairfield Police Department for assisting us in this endeavor. Fairfield Police will be providing extra officers, both in uniform and civilian clothes in and around the venue. As well, the police will provide EOD dogs before and during the race. These dogs are trained to detect “suspicious” articles.
As an important security measure, no bags/backpacks will be permitted inside the building. There will be a tent on the field where you will be able to leave your bag at you own risk. Please do not leave valuables in your bags/backpacks.
